Account Executive

The role of Client Services is to balance the best interest of the client with the best interests of the Agency to ensure a strategic, collaborative and results-oriented working partnership between Off Madison Ave and our clients. The Account Executive is responsible for managing the day-to-day relationship with smaller clients or in the management of larger accounts. This specific position will be initially dedicated to one large tourism account.

Tourism, travel and/or hospitality experience preferred.

This position has no direct reports.

Essential Functions

  • Manages the day-to-day relationship and serves as the main point of contact and liaison between agency team and client contacts for small to mid-sized accounts
  • Helps provide strategic guidance for the accounts and participates in regular brainstorming sessions with cross-functional team to generate new ideas and opportunities for clients
  • Crafts marketing plans, creative briefs and media briefs
  • Reviews creative and media to ensure it is on brand and on strategy; presents creative and media alongside team
  • Processes job starts/work orders, change orders and maintain status reports
  • Tracks budgets, completes project estimates and reviews billing
  • Traffics final art
  • Assists with reporting and analysis process by working with cross-functional team and develops strategic insights on performance
  • Conducts ongoing industry-specific research
  • Develops statements of work for new scopes, deliverables and projects

Requirements

Education & Experience, Knowledge/Understanding

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Understanding of principles and best practices in both traditional and digital marketing
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an Account Coordinator/Assistant Account Executive

Skills

  • Superb oral, written and client facing communication skills

  • Strong proofreading skills
  • Highly proficient in the use of a PC or Mac and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel and PowerPoint

Media Coordinator (Phoenix Office)

Provides administrative and customer service support to media planners and media buyers. Assists with media research, reports, and record keeping; the evaluation of new media opportunities; and advertising placement. Also responds to client needs and requsts via the media buyers and planners they support.

  • Managing and organizing media documents and plans

Requirements

Public Relations Account Executive

The PR Account Executive works directly with clients and manages day-to-day activities in order to complete client communication initiatives. Duties include writing press releases, pitches, contributed content and crafting content for social platforms. Additionally, the PR Account Executive is responsible for fostering relationships with media contacts and proactively pitching stories on behalf of the agency's clients. Responsibilities also include monitoring media coverage and client social channels, engaging consistently to support social objectives; serving as a social media community manager for specific clients; drafting story roadmaps and monthly content calendars; gathering client media relations and social results each month, developing dashboards where data is presented and analyzed for continued optimization; and participating in the planning of special events, such as media FAMs, press conferences and media briefings, serving as onsite support for the public relations and social media team.

This position has no direct reports, but regularly manages the work product of coordinators and interns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Writes and edits according to A.P. Style for a wide variety of communications (e.g., press releases, pitches, op-eds and bylined articles)
  • Researches and understands industry best practices and tools available
  • Builds strong media relationships on behalf of clients and proactively pitches media contacts
  • Provides social media community management and develops content on behalf of clients
  • Monitors the news for client pitch ideas and new story angles
  • Actively listens on social platforms to consistently engage with communities
  • Manages relationships with influencer groups on behalf of clients
  • Develops and/or oversees development of activity reports, media clip reports and monthly dashboards, and provides recommendations based on analysis
  • Provides research for optimization of current client activities, organic growth and new client development
  • Works closely with account managers to ensure outstanding overall management of accounts
  • Assists account teams with client annual planning and new business proposals
  • Serves as mentor to account coordinator staff and interns, and coordinates workflow

Requirements

Education & Experience, Knowledge/Understanding

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent; or three to five years of related experienc and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience (agency and client side)
  • Prior agency experience with responsibilities in account service or public relations
  • Previous experience with measurement and reporting

Skills

  • Superb verbal, written and listening communication skills
  • Strong writing skills, especially press releases, media pitches, articles for trade publications, blogs, social media writing, talking points and executive briefing materials
  • Comfortable pitching media via phone and email to secure interviews and coverage
